Stunning views!- West Maui and Molokai

January 30, 2017

We chose the 8 AM tour and it was a good time as the winds were not too strong and we had a pleasant trip. This was my first Helicopter ride and boy, it was amazing! The views of the mountains, cliffs, the waterfalls and the ocean were absolutely stunning from that height. It was worth every penny. The captain played some nice music in the background. He also circled around some whales and some small beautiful islands in the sea. He gave us time to take pictures of the waterfalls too. I would definitely recommend Air Maui to others :)

Amazing!!!

This was our first helicopter tour experience and Air Maui made it an AMAZING one!! The people at the office are very friendly and helpful. The helicopter itself is nice and well equipped. The captain was also very friendly, professional, funny, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend the west Maui / Molokai tour!

Great Birthday Present

Bought this trip as a gift for my dad as a birthday present, he loved it and I did too. The pilot was charismatic and helpful. This is definitely worth a do if you want.

Views of paradise from the air

January 28, 2017

Best experience and the highlight of our trip to Maui! Would definitely recommend as you get to see parts of the island you cannot see by land. Our only regret is that we did not take the hour long tour as we did not want the experience to end.

West Maui & Moloka'i

January 10, 2016

This is an hour long trip option. Be prepared to possibly have your tour cancelled, pending the weather. However, on clear days, this tour is absolutely breathtaking! Google "Air Maui" to get the right directions. Air Maui is the last hanger at the very end of the lot. When you arrive, be sure to first make a stop at the parking meter while someone stays in the car. Once you have your parking ticket, then drive down to park closer to Air Maui. This parking meter is the only one in the whole lot. It doesn't give change, so be sure to have small bills on you. The ladies at the check-in desk are very nice and there are restrooms available. You will be required to watch a safety video and wear a life vest. Please follow their tips on wearing dark clothing. It allows for better viewing as lighter clothes tend to reflect on the glass more. You will be seated with other parties as well, there are 6 passenger seats total, aside from the pilot. It would be greatly appreciated by your fellow passengers to not take away from their experience by wearing bright colored clothes. If you fly during whale season, keep an eye open for them while crossing the channel to Moloka'i. This tour is a breathtaking one! Some of the views are such that you would never see from the ground, especially in Moloka'i. It is worth the cost. Our pilot, Ritchie, was great! He had an amazing soundtrack for our tour and knew so much about the island. He was willing to circle some of the whales we saw breaching.

Yes, yes, yes, yes

January 10, 2016

There were four in our party and they each said "yes!" when I asked if they were glad we did this attraction. We did the West Maui and Molokai tour. I wish I could remember our pilot's name but it escapes my feeble brain. Their attention to safety was impressive. Yes, I did check their FAA stats prior to our trip and they were tops. The scenery was breath-taking. It is something we will never forget- one of those bucket list items. We so appreciated the narration and music. "Gravity" by John Mayer will forever put a smile on my aging face. We tipped our pilot- but they have envelopes inside you can use to place a tip and a note of thanks. We did pay the extra $$ for the two teenagers to sit up front. And we did purchase the cd video from our flight and have watched it numerous times. We all agreed that this tour was money very well spent and a highlight of our trip. Simply amazing!

Great experience

January 9, 2016

This was our 2nd helicopter tour on Maui. Air Maui by far was the best. From check in to check out ground staff are very professional, do a great job explaining the flight aero dynamics of helicopter vs fixed wing. Our pilot Troy was great, really seemed to want to show us a good time. Very knowledgeable, we were able to chase a rainbow. The flight from Maui to Molokai was great. I would rate Air Maui by far as the best, we will be back.

Breathtaking views of Maui!

January 8, 2017

We went on the 45 minute tour of Haleakala and south east Maui. At 7am we were the first flight of the day and witnessed a beautiful sunrise over the crater. After circling the outskirts of the crater, we descended into part of the valley with 400 foot waterfalls. From there, we continued to Hana and back along the SE part of the island. Troy was our guide and he was excellent. He provided us with knowledge about the island and the music he picked was timed perfectly for sections of the trip. It was an incredible 45 minutes seeing some beautiful sites that are inaccessible by road. We took our children (ages 13, 11 and 10) and they all enjoyed it. Highly recommend.

Wowza!

January 5, 2017

This was a wonderful tour! We originally had a 60 minute tour planned, however, the weather did not cooperate so we had to reschedule. We were not disappointed with 45 minute tour over East Maui. Captain Kirk was our pilot, he provided a very entertaining dialogue for the trip. We were able to see the sights very clearly through the helicopter windows. The highlights were the waterfalls on the eastside along the Hana road and flying about the crater. BEAUTIFUL! The tickets for this experience were worth every penny!

Loved every second of it! The pilot, Kirk, was very informative and put on a great show for us. We were lucky enough to experience clear skies when flying above Haleakala Crater and were able to see amazing waterfalls as well. The views were absolutely amazing and experienced no issues at all with the helicopter. Hiking to the top of Maui's mountains is one thing but seeing them from above in a helicopter is a completely unique experience. 5 stars all the way and I'd definitely recommend adding this to your to-do list while in Maui.
