First time on a helicopter and we went with the open doors tour. I would 100% do this again. Seeing the 4th tallest waterfall in the world (2,900+ feet), a volcano, the tallest sea cliffs in the world, and incredible views of the turquoise ocean was amazing. This was a fantastic way to celebrate our honeymoon. I will recommend this tour to everyone I know who visits Maui. Captain Kirk was awesome!

Absolutely cannot recommend enough this amazing adventure!! We did the doors off tour & had the best time! Our pilot Richard was hilarious and educational, sharing great jokes, island(s) history & had the best playlist. Was a little nervous choosing doors off beforehand but the actual flight was super smooth & felt completely safe. 100/10 would recommend!!!

What can I say. The West Maui and Molokai cliffs tour was breathtaking. Nathan, our pilot was great and we really appreciated his commentary. Best excursion we've taken this year!....and it's up there with the best ever. Book direct with Air Maui if you're on a cruise. It is a good bit less expensive and it's easy to get to the heliport from the harbour.....I'd recommend renting a car from Enterprise.

Verified doors off over maui This helicopter ride blew the doors off (no pun intended lol) Richie was an amazing! Not only because of his knowledge but also his great sense of humor the whole flight. I would recommend asking to be seated behind the pilot or to be seated in the front if you are taller than 6 feet because there no is no leg room. Overall it was a breathtaking experience and would definitely do it again!

Verified Absolutely Amazing experience! The communication was outstanding from start to finish, from registration through the pre-flight instructions. Every staff member was professional, friendly, and organized, making the entire experience seamless. We absolutely loved the doors-off flight. Our pilot, Kirk, was knowledgeable, informative, and made the ride both enjoyable and comfortable. Most of all, the views were simply breathtaking—far beyond what we could have imagined. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience and an excursion we'll never forget. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure!

Great way to say goodbye and thank you Maui We ended our once in a lifetime 40th wedding anniversary trip to Maui with a complete island tour on Air Maui. Cameron was a great pilot, and the entire experience was a magnificent way to say goodbye and thank you Maui. The video we purchased of the flight afterwards is a wonderful keepsake we are still watching. To borrow Cameron's analogy, it is like a magic carpet ride over some of the most breathtaking scenery you can imagine. Thank you Air Maui.

My first time riding in a helicopter was with Air Maui Helicopter Tours and it was an amazing experience. It went very smooth and there was no weird feeling since I am afraid of heights. The plane went up and landed smoothly without a stomach dropping feeling. We were instructed to wear headphones that blocked the helicopter sounds and listen to the tour guide. He explained and told us what we were looking at. We also had to share the helicopter with another couple. The helicopter had a front row for the pilot and assistant. Then after that there were two rows for tourists. I wished the tour was private and only for my group but then that would have been more money. The views were so cool! I got to see the floor and land shrinking and all the houses small like lines when I was up in the sky. The ocean looked so clean and blue! We also got to fly above mountains. There was so much grass everywhere. I got to take a lot of pictures. The bad thing was that the window of the plane had a reflection from the sun so my pictures got reflections. The whole tour was kind of short. We got to purchase a picture next to the helicopter as a memento. I had to pay for the picture and it was pricey. They framed the picture in a thick folding pcard

Verified Friendly staff. The Pilot Nathan was great. Ground/office staff were helpful. Doors off tour was a ton of fun. Be ready for a lot of air in the cabin pushing you inwards of the cabin. You can tip the pilots with Venmo which is convenient.

Our Complete Island Air Maui Helicopter tour was the Highlight of our Maui Vacation to celebrate our 45th Wedding Anniversary! It was worth every penny!! From being able to call when scheduling to the wonderful staff on ground and Pilot. Thank-you all for a fantastic tour day! Dylan was amazing and we are so excited to review our trip video after we got home. We visited the crater early Sunday a.m. for the sunrise. It was so amazing to see it from the helicopter! The waterfalls oh my goodness that whole site brought tears to our eyes! What a beautiful world God has made! If I had to anything twice at Maui it would be Air Maui Tours. I give the 10 STARS!!

My wife and I have been on four Hawaiian Island helicopter tours (Kauai, Oahu, the Big Island and now Maui) and all four were with different companies, and all were great in their own way. But on this Christmas trip, my wife, daughter, son-in-law and two grandkids selected Maui Air Helicopters for a private tour of West Maui and Molokai, and we are sure glad we did! The office staff was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Our Pilot, Captain Kirk (you gotta love that!) was absolutely sensational. I'm a private pilot with a few hours of instruction in helicopters, so I told Kirk to give us a spirited ride. He provided just that, and it was awesome! Even the grandkids loved it! He took us deep into canyons laced with thousand foot waterfalls and verdant sheer walls, gave us a very detailed running history of everything he showed us, and when we sadly had to return to the airport, he set that bird down so gently it wouldn't have cracked an eggshell. A true professional! Just an outstanding experience in every way.

Verified I would give 10stars if it was possible. Air Maui is top notch quality of customer service from checkin to return. Flawless. Dillon was our pilot and I cannot say enough about how informative he was and extremely steady flat flying. We had a doors off 45 min flight. Absolutely incredible.

I was so scared to ride in a helicopter that I originally booked just for my family and added myself last-minute after writing a will (not kidding). We did a doors on tour with Captain Kirk and now I want to go again and go doors off! It was such a beautiful, comfortable, and unforgettable experience. The staff there and the pilot made me feel relaxed the entire time. It was like being on a ride at Disneyland. I highly recommend them and if I'm ever back in Maui, will do it again.

This was a truly magical experience. The 45 minute open door helicopter tour is totally worth it and enough for us. Richie was our pilot and he took us through valleys, waterfalls and sights that can only be accessible by helicopter. I loved the historical facts he would speak about and stories about his family. Dad jokes and all, Richie made our experience truly memorable and the staff at Maui Air were very nice and welcoming (shout out to Kim!). Flying Air Maui with the doors open was totally worth it in my experience! Mahalo Air Maui, especially Richie and Kim!

We had Drew as our pilot and he was amazing. Super informed and showed us all the sights to see. All the staff made sure we were comfortable and safe before getting on the helicopter. The tour has stunning views and they share spots to check out and visit.

Received an amazing deal with our hotel and could not resist. I've always wanted to go on a helicopter ride and will definitely want to go again. Choose the 45min ride and it was enough. Our captain was super chill, outgoing and very informative. If you haven't gone on a ride choose air Maui!
